Synopsis

In June 1615, 86 brave whalers from San Sebastian, led by Martin de Villafranca, Pedro de Aguirre and Esteban de Telleria navigate to the cold waters of northern Iceland. In late September, a fierce storm destroys their boats preventing them from returning to San Sebastian. A survival adventure told by the scholar Jón Guðmundsson Laérdi, who never imagined that his Basque friends would carry the largest mass kill in the history of Iceland.
