Revolutionary America was a place of extraordinary paradox. America's Founding Fathers were men yearning for a nation of individual liberty and unprecedented independence. Thomas Jefferson expressed this desire for freedom from England in the Declaration of Independence in 1776 by writing: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

Artist Bio

A. Troy Thomas Director​

A. Troy Thomas graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1986 with a BS in Mass Communications/Advertising. He began his television career in 1987 as a cameraman for a local cable channel in Richmond, Virginia. Troy later was a founding member of the Richmond-based production company Delmar Communications working there from 1988-92, rising to the opsition of production supervisor.

Troy has won 140+ awards in various film festivals and video competitions including (19) Tellys, CINDY, Axiem, Vision and four Worldfest Houston Awards. His location credits now include 38 US states and 12 countries on four continents.

He is the founder and president of Storyteller Ministries, an Atlanta-based organization.
