“...A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH”

“The talent, expertise and quality film curation by the RIFF team has made the Richmond film scene a force to be reckoned with. Our experience with showing Tainted Love at the 2014 festival and the good fortune we had in receiving numerous awards was truly unforgettable and we look forward to bringing our future projects back to share with the community."

Producers – Tainted Love (USA, Los Angeles, CA)

“It is certainly one of the best film festivals I have experienced.”

“As a filmmaker and film lover, I was totally blown away when attending RIFF. The festival is young, but ambitious & full of energy. It is certainly one of the best film festivals I have experienced. The film screenings, filmmaker’s Q&As, exhibitions, discussion panels, and performances all work perfectly together – not only do they bring richness and diversity to the event, but they also provide valuable resources to the professionals. ”

RIFF was an absolutely wonderful experience in all respects: a beautiful main venue, well selected and diverse programs of high quality and a truly dedicated staff of true film-enthusiasts. Director, Heather Waters and her team go out of their way to make this a very special experience for every attending filmmaker. You are really treated as a “member of the family,” events for filmmakers are plenty & extremely well organized. Networking opportunities are fabulous and you get to enjoy true Southern hospitality in the beautiful city of Richmond. Highly recommended!

The doors RIFF helped open have been phenomenal. I’ve met some incredible talent that’s fostered great collaboration and helped me expand as a songwriter. From meeting folks in film who want to help expand my ideas visually, to having familiar faces at local networking events. The festival provided me access to an audience that hip hop doesn’t usually have in this city. RIFF provides a level playing field for creatives from multiple backgrounds and is such a beautiful way to reach people who may not know of the different ‘scenes’ in the city.
