RIFF ARTS INSTITUTE
The RIFF Arts Institute (RAI) is a non-profit organization opened in 2018 as a result of the festival’s annual artist programming work and a need to further development and educational initiatives year-round. RAI’s focus is on year-round artist and content development; film, music, and writing fellowships; artist and project grants; apprenticeships; and artist in residency programs for film, music, writing and business leadership.
RAI is the Signature Co-Presenting Sponsor of the FLOW Collective Series at RIFF each year, plus supports a wide variety of educational programming for adults and youth year-round in an effort to assist in artist and professional development. In a combined effort between RIFF and RAI, the Institute’s programming places an extensive focus on being a platform for collaboration and growing the film and music industries across the Commonwealth of Virginia.
